Boot space measures 410 litres with all seats in place. Folding the second and third rows expands capacity to 2310 litres for larger loads.

Towing capacity is rated at 0 kg braked and unbraked. Payload is 574 kg. Higher grades add DiSus-C intelligent damping suspension for improved ride control.

The cabin feels spacious and quiet like a first-class lounge. Second-row zero-gravity captain chairs recline up to 152 degrees with electric leg rests, multi-way power adjustment, heating, ventilation and multi-point massage controlled by armrest screens. Front seats offer eight- to ten-way power, heating, ventilation and massage. First scheduled service at 20 000 km or 12 months.

Nine airbags covering all three rows plus centre airbag.

Level 2 ADAS standard including adaptive cruise, AEB, blind-spot and lane keep.

Fuel and energy use centre on the large Blade battery. Electric models deliver claimed ranges of 480-520 km WLTP depending on single or dual motor. Plug-in hybrids pair the battery with a 1.5 turbo engine for pure-electric stretches around 100 km and total ranges approaching 1000 km under mixed cycles. Charging supports 11 kW AC and high DC rates for quick top-ups.

Servicing starts later than many rivals. The first visit falls at 20 000 km or one year, reflecting confidence in the electric powertrain. Later intervals focus on brakes, tyres, filters and suspension checks. Warranties cover the vehicle for six years or 150 000 km and the battery and motors for eight years.

Safety kit is comprehensive from the base. Nine airbags protect every row including side curtains and a centre bag. High-strength steel forms most of the body, backed by double anti-collision beams. Standard Level 2 systems handle adaptive cruise, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection and lane keeping. The Blade battery itself has passed nail, thermal and impact tests without fire.

Living with the D9 means low mechanical upkeep thanks to the electric or hybrid setup, plus quiet long-distance comfort from the seats and isolation. Keep an eye on tyre and brake wear under the vehicle’s weight, and use authorised centres to maintain warranty cover. The cabin fridge and multi-zone climate help on extended trips.
