The Spring runs purely on electricity from a 26.8 kWh usable lithium-ion battery. Official WLTP combined range sits at 225 km, rising to 305 km in the city cycle, with combined consumption listed between 12.4 and 14.1 kWh/100 km according to motor output. Regenerative braking in B mode helps recover energy in urban stop-start driving.

Servicing is straightforward and low-cost thanks to the electric powertrain. Dacia recommends an annual check or service at the stated mileage interval. No oil changes or exhaust work are needed, and brake wear is reduced by regeneration. Service plans are available to fix costs.

Safety kit meets current regulations with six airbags, automatic emergency braking that detects pedestrians and cyclists, lane-keeping assist, traffic-sign recognition with speed alert, driver fatigue warning, eCall and electronic stability control. The car carries a 1-star Euro NCAP rating from the 2021 test of the previous version. the 2024 model has not been retested.

Living with the Spring is simple for city use. The three-year/60,000-mile base warranty can extend to seven years/75,000 miles with regular Dacia servicing, while the battery is covered for eight years. Mechanics are basic so little goes wrong, and remote app features let you pre-condition the cabin or schedule charging.
