The cabin gets a 7-inch MediaNav touchscreen with sat-nav, DAB, Bluetooth, USB and AUX as standard on Stepway grades, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on cars from late 2018. Manual air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors, electric windows and a height-adjustable driver’s seat are standard. A reversing camera is optional on Comfort and standard on Techroad. Basic safety covers ABS, EBA, ESC, hill start assist and front side airbags. No automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning or lane keep is offered.

Boot space is 573 litres with the seats up and expands to 1518 litres with the 60/40 rear bench folded. The load bay is wide and practical for family or light work use, with a parcel shelf and boot light on equipped cars.

Braked towing capacity is 810 kg and unbraked around 595 kg on petrol versions, with diesel unbraked a little higher on some specs. Payload sits near 489 kg depending on engine and equipment.

Raised ground clearance and roof rails help light off-road or load-carrying duties, but there is no mention of heavy-duty cooling or specially reinforced suspension for hard work use.

The cabin feels practical and roomy with dark carbon Stepway cloth seats that have top-stitching and logos. Manual air conditioning is standard along with a height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel. Soft-feel steering wheel and satin chrome accents on vents and console add simple style. Plenty of storage cubbies and a vast boot make family trips easy, though materials stay basic and durable rather than plush.
