The VTR cabin comes with manual air conditioning, cruise control with speed limiter and a multifunction steering wheel as standard. The 1.4 VTi 95 petrol returns official combined economy of 6.1 litres per 100 km and 140 g/km CO2. Urban figure is 8.2 litres/100 km and extra-urban 4.9 litres/100 km. A 60-litre tank supports decent range on mixed journeys.
Petrol models need servicing every 12 months or 20,000 miles, alternating minor and major. Timing belt change is due every 10 years or 100,000 miles.
The car scored a full five stars at Euro NCAP in 2010. Adult protection reached 90 percent and child 85 percent. Pedestrian protection was lower at 43 percent while safety assist hit 97 percent. Standard kit covers six airbags, ESP with traction control, ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution, emergency brake assist and hill start assist. Cruise control with speed limiter is also fitted on VTR.
