The 2.0L turbo petrol is the sole engine for Europe. Official combined figures stand at 8.5 l/100 km for rear-drive models and higher for AWD, with matching CO2 values around 198-212 g/km under the Euro 5 standard then in force. The tank holds 72 litres.
Servicing follows the oil-life system that calculates change intervals from driving conditions, with a mandatory change at least once a year. Full inspections occur every 15 000 km or annually. Additional fluid checks and replacements are scheduled at 30 000 km intervals. The car carries a 3-year or 100 000 km warranty and matching roadside cover.
Safety equipment starts with a full set of airbags covering frontal, thorax, pelvic, curtain, knee and rear outboard positions, plus automatic occupant sensing. StabiliTrak electronic stability control, all-speed traction control, ABS with brake assist and a tyre-pressure monitor are standard. An active hood deploys for pedestrian protection. The Driver Awareness Package with alert seat, collision warning, lane departure and blind-zone systems is available or standard on higher grades. No Euro NCAP rating was published for this generation.
Magnetic Ride Control dampers with Tour, Sport and Snow/Ice modes are standard, giving a controlled yet comfortable ride on European roads. Run-flat capable tyres and a tyre-inflation kit support continued mobility after a puncture.
