The cabin seats seven as standard with Vernasca leather and four-zone automatic climate control. Live Cockpit Professional brings twin 12.3-inch screens including a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay is standard. Cruise control with braking, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera and Parking Assistant are fitted. Driving Assistant provides automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning and lane-departure warning with steering support.
Boot volume is 326 litres with all seven seats in place and rises to 750 litres once the third row is folded. All rear seats fold electrically to create 2120 litres of flat space. The split tailgate and standard air suspension that lowers the car ease loading.
Braked towing capacity is 2200 kg and unbraked is 750 kg. Payload is 850 kg. Adaptive two-axle air suspension is standard and helps with loaded or towing work.
The cabin feels spacious and light thanks to three standard seat rows for seven and the panoramic glass roof. Acoustic glazing keeps noise low. Front sport seats offer multi-way electric adjustment including bolsters, lumbar support and heating as standard. Four-zone climate control and air suspension support a relaxed long-distance feel.

The xDrive30d uses a 3.0-litre inline-six diesel. Combined consumption figures appear in the 6.5 to 8 range depending on the test cycle and equipment.
Servicing follows the Condition Based Service system that calculates needs from actual use. Oil services typically fall near annual or 15 000 km marks. BMW Service Inclusive packages are available to cover scheduled work.
Safety equipment includes Active Guard Plus with collision warning and braking, lane departure warning, attentiveness monitoring and a full set of airbags. No separate Euro NCAP rating is published for the X7.
The car is kept via dealer CBS schedules. Air suspension and xDrive components need regular checks. Early diesel examples carry recalls for EGR cooler and starter that should be confirmed complete.
