Euro NCAP awarded the 2 Series Coupé four stars in 2022. Adult occupant protection scored 82 percent and child occupant 81 percent. Vulnerable road user protection reached 67 percent and safety assist 64 percent. The rating applies across the range including the M240i xDrive.
Standard kit covers the basics well: six airbags, seat-belt reminders for all seats, ISOFIX points, front-collision warning with automatic braking, lane-departure warning and cruise control that can brake. Extra packs add blind-spot monitoring, active cruise and more cameras if wanted.
