The iX3 50 xDrive runs purely on electricity from a 108.7 kWh usable battery. Official WLTP figures show combined use of 15.1 to 17.9 kWh per 100 km and a range of 679 to 805 km depending on wheels and equipment. AC charging is 11 kW standard or 22 kW optional. DC peaks at 400 kW for a 10-80% top-up in 21 minutes.
Servicing follows BMW Condition Based Service. Sensors track wear on brakes and fluids so intervals adjust to use, typically yearly or every two years. The car alerts when attention is due. As an EV it has fewer mechanical parts than a combustion model, which keeps routine work simpler.
Euro NCAP gave the iX3 five stars in 2026 tests. Standard equipment covers driver and passenger airbags, front side airbags, a centre interaction airbag, head airbags front and rear, plus tyre pressure monitoring and the full stability suite. Active Guard and Driving Assistant Plus add collision warnings, emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise as standard.
Day-to-day ownership centres on the large battery and fast-charge ability for long trips. Bidirectional charging options support vehicle-to-load or home use. Keep software updated for the assistance systems and monitor the high-voltage battery under the usual eight-year cover terms.
