Safety equipment centres on four airbags (head-level on the Coupé), electronic stabilisation with a sport mode that can be fully deactivated, wheel-selective torque control, tyre-pressure monitoring and ISOFIX points. Active lane assist and parking sensors appear on many cars. The model inherits the four-star Euro NCAP result of the contemporary TT.
Everyday usability is higher than expected for a sports coupé. The 2+2 layout and 305-litre boot (expandable to 712 litres) make short trips and luggage practical. Lightweight aluminium construction and the fixed rear wing define the character. Regular oil and filter changes plus attention to the dual-clutch gearbox and Haldex unit keep the car reliable over time.
