The Swedish-market Q9 TDI quattro uses a 3.0-litre V6 diesel with MHEV plus assistance, an electric compressor and permanent quattro. Official combined fuel use sits between 7.4 and 8.0 l/100 km, giving usable range for a full-size three-row SUV without hybrid complexity beyond the mild system.
Official service interval is 30 000 km or two years, whichever comes first. Adaptive air suspension is standard, so ride height and damping stay matched to load and road without extra owner input beyond Drive Select modes.
Safety kit starts with automatic emergency braking front and rear that detects pedestrians and cyclists, plus blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. Higher grades add adaptive cruise with hands-free function on mapped highways and emergency assist that can steer to the hard shoulder. All-wheel steering appears on upper equipment levels to shrink the turning circle.
Living with the car centres on the spacious cabin, power-operated doors with obstacle detection and the large cargo volume once the electric-folding rear seats are down. Keep the diesel particulate filter healthy with regular longer runs and follow the stated service schedule.
