Alpine V6 GT 1984–1991 dimensions, tows 800 kg

Braked towing is 800 kg.

Alpine V6 GT 1984–1991 car dimensions: 4330 mm long, 1754 mm wide and 1197 mm high. Unladen weight is 1,140 kg. Braked towing is 800 kg.

The 2+2 cabin offers more space and better visibility than earlier Alpine models, with a low seating position and supportive front seats. Standard kit includes electric windows, electric door mirrors and an onboard computer. Climate control is optional, as is ABS from 1988. Leather or velour upholstery and a multi-speaker stereo are also options. No electronic driver aids beyond basic instrumentation.

Front boot holds 90 litres with rear seats in place. Folding the rear seats raises capacity to 310 litres for light luggage or weekend bags.

Payload is listed at 350 kg. Braked towing capacity reaches 800 kg and unbraked 500 kg. The car is a sports coupe with no published heavy-duty cooling or reinforced suspension for work duties.

The cabin offers a low stretched driving position with supportive petal-style front seats that hold well. Rear seats take two adults in reasonable comfort for a coupe thanks to the longer wheelbase. Visibility is good all round. The dashboard is ergonomic with clear gauges but uses basic plastics that drew criticism for finish and rattle. Electric windows, mirrors and a trip computer come standard. Air conditioning and leather are options. The car feels quiet and relaxed on long runs for a sports coupe.

Petrol V6 with 72-litre tank

Combined consumption around 9.9-11.5 L/100 km

Four ventilated disc brakes

ABS optional from 1988 (standard on Mille Miles)

Steel backbone chassis with side impact reinforcements

The car runs on petrol. Official figures put combined use near 10 L/100 km, with city figures higher and steady motorway running lower. The large tank supports long range when driven gently.

Servicing uses many shared Renault parts so routine work stays straightforward. The PRV V6 is durable when oil and cooling are kept in good order. No fixed interval appears in the public record beyond normal checks.

Safety kit centres on four ventilated discs and a reinforced backbone chassis. ABS became an option in 1988. No airbags or official crash-test ratings are listed for the generation.

The polyester body resists rust. Electrics and interior plastics can age and need attention. Keep the cooling system healthy and the car remains usable as a daily GT.
