Oil and filter changes are due every 5 000–7 500 km depending on use. Full inspections are yearly or every 15 000 km. The twin carburettors need careful setting and the cooling system benefits from the later dual-fan arrangement.
Safety kit centres on four disc brakes (ventilated at the front, later all round) with servo assistance plus inertia-reel belts for all seats. No ABS or airbags appear on any specification.
The polyester body does not rust but can crack. the central backbone chassis needs rust checks. The PRV engine is durable when oil and coolant levels stay correct. Parts remain available through specialist networks and clubs.
