The Giulia 1300 runs on petrol via a single twin-choke carburettor. The fuel tank holds 46 litres. Period figures put consumption near 9.8–10.1 l/100 km.
Service calls for engine oil and filter every 6,000 km with SAE 20W-40. Gearbox and final-drive oil change every 18,000 km. Chassis greasing is needed every 6,000 km at three points.
Safety kit centres on disc brakes at all four wheels from launch. A brake servo arrived later in production and dual circuits with a rear pressure regulator came in 1970. The monocoque body uses controlled deformation zones around a rigid passenger cell.
Keeping the car means routine oil, grease and twin-cam valve checks. The simple interior and shared 105-series parts make maintenance straightforward for a classic Italian sedan.
