The cabin seats four or five with front bucket seats and a rear bench. The dashboard is simple with large matching speedometer and tachometer plus gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature and fuel. A basic ventilation system uses sliders and four vents. No advanced driver aids are fitted.

Boot space measures 325 litres under a folding cover. Access is via a wide-opening rear hatch held by struts. The rear seats do not fold.

Braked towing capacity is 800 kg and unbraked is 470 kg. Payload is 425 kg.

The cabin offers supportive front bucket seats with headrests and pronounced bolsters, upholstered in cloth or tartan with Texalfa trim. Height-adjustable steering column aids the driving position. Simple ventilation uses levers for hot air, cold intake and distribution to vents, plus a fan controlled from a column stalk. Heated rear window and extractor vents in the C-pillars aid airflow. Wind-down rear side windows provide extra ventilation. The low, quiet cabin suits long trips with good visibility through large glass areas.

Petrol fuel, 50-litre tank

All-round disc brakes, servo-assisted, dual-circuit

Seat belts standard

Front headrests standard

Collapsible steering column

The 1.5-litre flat-four runs on petrol via carburettor. Tank capacity is 50 litres. Consumption figures from period tests place it in the mid-20s mpg range on mixed roads.

All-round disc brakes form the core safety kit, with inboard fronts to cut unsprung weight, servo assistance and dual circuits. Padded interior and collapsible steering column add passive protection. Seat belts became standard with the 1978 updates. No crash-test ratings appear in period records.

Servicing details are sparse in published material. The boxer engine allows access to bearings without full removal. Keep an eye on cambelts and synchronisers. The monocoque is known for corrosion in damp climates, so regular underbody checks and cavity protection matter for longevity. Parts for brakes, filters and gaskets remain available through specialists.
