Servicing centres on the twin-spark ignition, cambelt drive and cooling system. Keep oil levels checked as these engines can use some. Electrics and suspension bushes need watching with age.

Safety kit on the Super includes a driver airbag, ABS, fog lamps, rear head restraints and three-point belts for most seats (lap belt in the middle rear). The body gained reinforcements over time. No official crash-test rating is published for the model.

Live with it by watching for rust on sills, arches and floors, verifying cambelt history, and checking all electrics work. Parts remain available for the common items. Regular care keeps the car usable day to day.
